It's completely normal to have questions before something new. Here are honest answers to the ones I'm asked most.
LEEF is a slow, flowing style of bodywork that emphasizes relaxation, presence, energy, and full-body connection.
Rather than focusing on treating injuries or working through isolated muscles, LEEF is designed to help calm the nervous system, encourage deep relaxation, and reconnect you with your body through intentional, unhurried touch.
Not really.
LEEF is a slow, full-body experience designed to relax your nervous system rather than treat injuries or target problem areas with deep pressure.
It isn't deep tissue.
It's deep presence.
No.
LEEF is never sexual.
It is, however, deeply connective.
Using long, intentional strokes and a calm, grounded approach, the goal is to create a safe environment where you can fully relax and reconnect with your body.
Professionalism, respect, and clear boundaries are maintained throughout every session.
LEEF is designed to create a calm, comfortable, and deeply supportive environment.
While I have worked with both women and men over the years, I've found that my practice naturally resonates most with women, and that is where my energy flows best.
At this time, I welcome women for all appointments.
For men, sessions are considered on a referral basis. This approach helps ensure there is mutual trust, understanding, and respect from the very beginning, creating the best possible experience for everyone involved.
Expect to slow down.
To breathe.
To feel.
To simply be present.
Many clients tell me it's the first time they've truly relaxed in years.
LEEF is a full-body experience.
Depending on your comfort level, a session may include the face, scalp, hair, neck, chest, abdomen, glutes, legs, feet, back, shoulders, arms, hands, and underarms.
Every area is approached with slow, intentional touch as part of one continuous flow.
Absolutely.
Your comfort always comes first.
Before every session we'll discuss any areas you'd prefer not to have worked on, and I'll tailor the experience accordingly.
You should undress only to your own comfort level.
Many clients choose to be fully unclothed beneath the draping, while others prefer to leave certain clothing on.
Your privacy, dignity, and comfort are always respected through professional draping and clear communication.
Of course.
Some clients enjoy conversation while others naturally settle into silence.
There is no expectation either way.
If you ever need to speak, ask a question, or request an adjustment, I'll always listen.
That's completely normal.
Deep relaxation and intentional touch can sometimes bring emotions to the surface.
If that happens, there's nothing you need to do.
You're in a safe, supportive, judgment-free space, and you're welcome to simply let the experience unfold naturally.
Most clients leave feeling relaxed, grounded, and restored rather than sore.
LEEF doesn't rely on aggressive pressure or deep tissue techniques.
Instead, the focus is on calming the nervous system and allowing your body to relax naturally.
Nothing complicated.
Please arrive clean (a quick shower is always appreciated), well hydrated, and, if possible, with your hair freshly brushed. Brushing your hair beforehand makes the head and scalp sequences much more comfortable and enjoyable.
Most importantly, come open to slowing down.
This is your time to receive.
I've been practicing massage recreationally for more than ten years.
As my passion for bodywork grew, I completed foundational Lomi Lomi training with Dan Joy before travelling to Los Angeles to train one-on-one with Jason Allen, founder of LEEF Massage, during an intensive workshop.
That experience shaped the work I now offer in Vancouver.
No.
I am not a Registered Massage Therapist, and I do not provide insurance receipts.
LEEF is a professional bodywork experience focused on relaxation, presence, nervous system regulation, and full-body connection rather than clinical treatment or rehabilitation.
I work from a private studio in Yaletown, Vancouver.
For clients who prefer to receive a session in their own home, mobile appointments are also available within a reasonable distance of Yaletown for an additional travel fee.
